Know Your God

These words are primarily written for those who have accepted the Truth that Jesus is the only divine Son of God and was the incarnate God-man who was born of a virgin, lived this life on earth without sin and offered the sacrifice of His body on a cross so He could bridge the chasm between Holy God the Father and sinful man. After He died He was buried, rose again and then ascended to the Father and is now seated on His right hand to ever intercede for us. By believing and embracing these Truths you have been spiritually "born again" into the family of God. You are His child by adoption and joint heirs with Christ and you now have eternal life - all because of what Christ did on the cross by taking on Himself all the sin of the world. All this for all who will believe and embrace Jesus as being the only "Way, Truth and Life."

Once you have begun this "walk" with the God of the universe it is a lifelong learning experience of getting to know God. We can not fully know Him until we see Him face to face in Heaven. But along the way, through life's mountains and valleys, by still waters and tempestuous rivers, in failures and successes God is always there teaching us Who He is as we trust and lean on Him in every situation we see that He is faithful, all wise, powerful, loving and omniscient.Through it all He gives us peace, joy and grace to live as "King of the mountain," the "head and not the tail" (Deut.28:13), and causes to "run through a troop and jump over a wall" (II Sam.22:30).

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, just accept Him now and invite Him to take charge of your life and you will begin the most peaceful, joyful and exciting life imaginable.
Besides all those wonderful blessings you have eternal life beginning now and a permanent home in Heaven waiting for you. All these wonderful Truths we will be sharing in the days ahead are for you!

In Christ Alone
(by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend)

In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease.
My Comforter, my All in all, here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save.
'Till on the cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid; here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world, by darkness slain;
Then, bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory, sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck me from His hand;
'Till He returns or calls me home, here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand!

May the "Father of Lights" shine in your darkness today,

Mary Jones
